Announcing Improved CockroachDB Cloud Pricing

Cockroach Labs has introduced a new Standard plan for its CockroachDB Cloud Platform, offering cost-effective scalability and enterprise-grade security. The company is also updating its pricing model to better align with industry standards and ensure customers only pay for what they use. Changes include reducing compute pricing, unbundling data transfer, backups, and CDC from existing compute prices, and increasing backup flexibility. These updates will go into effect on December 1, 2024, for new customers and upon renewal for existing annual and multi-year contract customers.
