Open-Source + Infrastructure-as-Code = <3

We rewrote our internal tooling to use Terraform instead of Chef Provisioning, which took 8-10 weeks but greatly increased productivity. We released Cloudsmith 0.12 with major new features such as support for Open-Source repositories, a pricing plan calculator, and numerous bug fixes. The transition was painful, but the benefits were worth it, including producing an entire Staging environment in just 30 minutes. We learned from past mistakes and now have a more mature toolchain that keeps up with AWS changes. The key takeaway is to automate everything and integrate the best tools/practices for Infrastructure-as-Code/DevOps.
