Cloudflare has announced the general availability of Client Zero Trust Sessions, a feature that requires periodic authentication to control network access. This enhances the security of Cloudflare's Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) by enabling granular application policies and addressing issues related to open sessions on lost or stolen devices. The feature was beta-tested during 2021 CIO Week, with feedback incorporated into the public version. It requires users to reauthenticate with their identity provider before accessing certain resources, with frequency determined by administrators based on the resource.
