D1: our quest to simplify databases

Cloudflare has announced the upcoming open beta of its serverless database D1, which is compatible with SQLite API and designed to store and query relational data without latency concerns or complex management. Since launching in May 2022, D1 has been available for private beta users who have provided valuable feedback on improvements and new features. The upcoming open beta will include features such as automatic backups, one-click restore, stored procedures, and more. Developers can create and manage databases using the Wrangler CLI or directly from the Cloudflare dashboard.
