Cloudflare has announced that it will be making Rate Limiting available for all its Free, Pro and Business plan users without any extra charges. This move is aimed at increasing the overall security posture of millions of applications protected by Cloudflare. The new version of Rate Limiting is built on a powerful ruleset engine and allows building rules like in Custom Rules. It also offers more features than the previous version, such as separate counting and mitigation expressions, counting dimensions, and additional fields available for rule creation. Existing customers will be granted the same amount of rules in the new system as they were using in the previous version.
