Cloudflare Radar 2022 Year in Review

The year 2022 saw a rise in cyber attacks across various locations. Technology sites consistently faced the largest percentage of mitigated requests globally, with peaks in April, July/August, and late November. Target categories for these attacks varied widely, with no one region being more vulnerable than others. Internet service providers need to improve support for IPv6 as available IPv4 address space becomes increasingly scarce. Finally, the United States was identified as the top source of phishing emails observed by Cloudflare Area 1 Email Security during 2022.
