New cities on the Cloudflare global network: March 2022 edition
Blog post from Cloudflare
Cloudflare has added 18 new cities in Africa, South America, Asia, and the Middle East to its global network, bringing the total number of locations to over 270. The addition of these cities helps improve internet performance by reducing latency and enhancing security. One example is Israel, where median response time was reduced from 86ms to 29ms after Cloudflare's deployment in Tel Aviv and Haifa. This improvement is achieved through the Cloudflare ISP Edge Partnership Program, which embeds Cloudflare servers within ISPs' networks, benefiting both parties by reducing back haul traffic and improving internet performance for users.
