Introducing Igor, Alex, Phil, Isla, and Vera: Five of Our Ninja Nameservers

Cloudflare was developed with the understanding that there was a significant demand for improved security and performance tools among small to mid-sized websites, which traditional enterprise solutions couldn't cater to due to their high cost and inaccessibility. The founders decided to leverage DNS to deploy Cloudflare, building a globally distributed network of DNS servers. Upon signing up with Cloudflare, users are assigned two "Ninja Nameservers™" (one male, one female), each representing the spirit of speed, defense, and stealthiness that these nameservers provide for their websites. These ninjas are designed by a talented artist and can be found on the company's Facebook page.
