Summary

Cloudflare has announced support for Certificate Transparency (CT), an ambitious project aimed at improving online security by bringing accountability to the system that protects HTTPS. The company is introducing two new public-good services: Nimbus, a free and open certificate transparency log; and Merkle Town, a dashboard for exploring the certificate transparency ecosystem. Starting April 2018, Chrome will require Certificate Transparency for all newly issued, publicly trusted certificates.
