Summary

Small businesses are often targeted by cyber attacks, with 43% of such incidents aimed at them according to research. With limited resources to manage IT systems and security protections, these companies may struggle to predict, stop or mitigate any cyber threats that could affect their bottom lines. Cloudflare's mission is to help build a better internet by providing all businesses with access to the best security and performance services available. The company identified over 94,000 small customers using at least one of its services in 2022, helping mitigate over 38,000 Layer 3 DDoS attacks for these businesses. As of December 2022, there were also 4.2 million Cloudflare accounts using only services available in the company's Free plan, representing a significant increase year-over-year.
