Announcing Friendly Bots

Cloudflare introduces Friendly Bots, a new feature designed to help manage and validate good bots on the internet. The company previously relied on manual submissions for bot verification, which could take weeks or months. With Friendly Bots, users can instantly auto-validate any traffic using IP lists, rDNS, and other methods. This allows customers to create custom policies that allow, rate limit, or log specific bot traffic. The feature also streamlines the dashboard experience by providing easier verification, instant feedback, better sourcing, and no arbitration for bot categorization. Additionally, Cloudflare Radar now displays a list of many verified bots in real-time, with plans to add specific Verified Bots as Bot Tags in their Logs product.
