Introducing Configuration Rules
Blog post from Cloudflare
On September 27, 2022, a new set of tools called Configuration Rules was introduced by Cloudflare as an improved version of Page Rules. Configuration Rules allows users to selectively enable or disable features based on URLs, cookies, and country of origin. This enables a wide range of use cases such as A/B testing configuration and only enabling features for specific file extensions. The tool is available across all plan levels and provides 16 actions that can be used to override corresponding zone-wide settings for matching traffic. Configuration Rules also offers non-URL related fields, allowing users to make decisions based on more nuanced aspects like user agent or presence of a specific cookie.
