Summary

Workers VPC is a new feature from Cloudflare that makes it easier to build cross-cloud apps by providing isolated environments for resources and allowing them to access each other securely. It introduces two new capabilities: Workers VPC, which groups resources into isolated environments, and Workers VPC Private Links, which connects a Workers VPC to an external cloud using either standard tunnels over IPsec or Cloudflare Network Interconnect. This allows developers to build secure, global, cross-cloud apps on Workers without exposing their private resources to the public Internet. The feature is designed to unlock access to external cloud resources and provide a dead-simple solution for managing complex architectures. It enables bidirectional connectivity between Cloudflare and external clouds, reducing egress fees and allowing developers to place resources wherever needed for optimal performance. Workers VPC is expected to roll out later in 2025 and will be built on the foundation of Cloudflare's existing private networking products.
