Summary

Cloudflare has expanded Kitesurf, its Cloudflare Workers-based browser designed for AI agents, with WebMCP support that lets agents call website functions directly instead of relying on fragile simulated clicks. The browser now supports additional web standards and APIs, including advanced CSS features, custom elements, JSON modules, import maps, URL-based module resolution, and improved iframe behavior, while its Web Platform Test coverage has grown to more than 730,000 passing subtests. Internal optimizations reduce JavaScript-to-DOM overhead, redundant timer and script work, memory use, and unnecessary font downloads, helping maintain or improve CPU and wall-clock performance despite broader compatibility. Kitesurf now has full integration with Cloudflare Browser Run through CDP, Playwright, Puppeteer, MCP, REST Quick Actions, and a Workers binding. Cloudflare also demonstrated a terminal-based version that renders pages through the Kitty graphics protocol or ANSI text and supports interactive scrolling and clicking. The company plans continued standards, performance, and rendering improvements, intends to open-source Kitesurf, and is offering it free in beta with account limits through its playground and Browser Run.
