Introducing Radar Researcher: An AI tool for exploring Internet data in plain language

Cloudflare has beta-launched Radar Researcher, an AI-powered assistant that lets users explore Cloudflare Radar’s global Internet data through plain-language questions, returning explanations, interactive charts, suggested follow-ups, and auditable traces of the datasets and API calls used. Available across Radar pages, it can analyze existing charts using their screenshots, raw API data, and active filters, helping users investigate topics such as national Internet quality or disruption timelines without manually navigating dashboards or APIs. Built entirely on Cloudflare’s developer platform, the tool uses Workers, the Agents SDK, Durable Objects, Workers AI, AI Gateway, and a unified MCP server that enables it to discover and query Radar’s APIs dynamically rather than relying on hard-coded endpoints. Its chart system keeps raw data separate from model-generated prose, allowing the frontend to render precise, native Radar visualizations from API-backed references. Cloudflare has also added WebMCP support to Radar so browser-based agents can directly use site functions such as filtering, searching, URL scanning, and domain reporting, while maintaining normal functionality for browsers without agent support.
