Introducing automatic remediation policies with Cloudflare CASB
Blog post from Cloudflare
Cloudflare has introduced automatic remediation policies for its Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), enabling security teams to automatically respond to SaaS security findings by revoking risky file shares, sending webhooks, or forwarding events to SOC and SOAR tools. The feature builds on earlier manual remediation capabilities by allowing organizations to define event-driven response rules that execute as soon as findings such as publicly shared files, excessive OAuth permissions, or dormant credentials are detected. Policies can target selected SaaS vendors, integrations, and finding types, with direct remediation currently available for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace file and folder findings, while webhooks can integrate with platforms including Slack, Teams, Jira, ServiceNow, Tines, and custom HTTP endpoints. Built using Cloudflare Queues, Workers, and Workflows, the system is designed for resilient execution, automatic retries, API rate-limit handling, and remediation completion within five minutes. Cloudflare One also provides audit and runtime logs to track policy changes, execution results, failures, and evidence of corrective actions for compliance, while planned Custom Findings support will let organizations tailor detection logic to their own requirements.
