Summary

In September 2022, Cloudflare launched the general availability of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) as part of its Cloudflare One service to provide better protection for sensitive data. DLP allows administrators to identify and control sensitive data in their corporate traffic by creating custom detections using regular expressions. The feature is embedded in Cloudflare Gateway, which routes users' internet traffic through Cloudflare for secure browsing. As of now, customers can build custom detection profiles to identify unique sensitive data such as intellectual property or trade secrets. In the coming quarters, Cloudflare plans to add more features like data at rest scanning, minimum DLP match counts, Microsoft Sensitivity Label support, and more.
