Cloudflare OS: an open platform for agents, apps, and work

Cloudflare has open sourced Cloudflare OS, an enterprise platform intended to give employees browser-based AI agent workspaces grounded in company-specific context, skills, systems, and policies. Developed from an internal deployment used across Cloudflare, it enables users beyond engineering to research information, create connected documents and presentations, automate repeatable workflows, and build collaborative full-stack applications. Its security model begins with no default access and uses Cloudflare Access, capability-based resource bindings, and service-specific Gatekeepers to keep credentials isolated, limit actions and data exposure, log observations, and enforce permissions when workspaces, outputs, or apps are shared. Apps run as isolated Dynamic Workers with durable state and can be shared either for real-time collaboration or as reusable blueprints without transferring data or credentials. The platform supports multiple AI models through Cloudflare AI Gateway, allowing organizations to control model selection, costs, budgets, and usage attribution. Organizations can deploy and customize the open-source core in their own Cloudflare accounts, integrating internal systems, governance policies, interfaces, and organizational knowledge, while Cloudflare plans managed dashboard availability and additional integrations.
