Cloudflare AI Search: give your agents a search engine for your data

Cloudflare has introduced developer experience improvements to AI Search that automate the assembly of services such as Workers AI, Vectorize, R2, Browser Run, and AI Gateway into a managed search solution for agents and applications. Users can index structured and unstructured files or owned websites, crawl sites without sitemaps through a Discover option, combine multiple search instances under a namespace, and expose unified public /search and /mcp endpoints that can use custom domains or Cloudflare Access for private access. Cloudflare demonstrates the platform through its Dev Stack MCP server, which searches current, cited content across ten Cloudflare-owned documentation and community sources, as well as through search on Cloudflare.com, Developer Docs, and its EmDash-based blog and CMS integration. AI Search supports hybrid semantic and keyword retrieval, respects robots.txt and bot controls through its Cloudflare-AI-Search crawler identity, and remains free during beta, while preview pricing proposes charges for ingestion, storage, and queries with free monthly allowances and no embedding or reranking fees when customers use selected default Workers AI models.
