Summary

Cloudflare has announced that its Cloudflare One network security suite now supports private connectivity to cloud environments through the new Cloud CNI (Cloud Native Interconnect). This feature enables organizations to directly link their virtual private clouds (VPCs) from various cloud providers, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OCI and IBM, into Cloudflare's global network. The main goal of this integration is to simplify the management of cloud connections by eliminating the need for customers to maintain their own infrastructure. Instead, they can rely on Cloudflare to manage firewalls, access policies and routing for all their resources, thus reducing the number of vendors they have to deal with. Cloud CNI allows users to quickly and easily provision private connections directly from cloud providers through a process that is entirely cloud-native. Users can create these connections in seconds without having to worry about ordering cross-connects into their devices, getting LOAs or checking light levels. With Cloudflare's new support for direct cloud connectivity, customers can now get connected from various cloud providers and take advantage of several benefits: private routing with Magic WAN, secure authentication with Access, and manage their cloud egress with Gateway. Overall, this integration is a major step forward in making zero-trust network security easier for organizations to implement and manage. It eliminates the complexity associated with maintaining multiple connectivity options by allowing companies to insert Cloudflare as the sole intermediary between all of their resources.
