Real-Time Communications at Scale

Cloudflare introduces its Real Time Communications (RTC) platform, designed to help developers build the next generation of real-time, interactive applications. The platform leverages Cloudflare's global edge network to improve connectivity for existing WebRTC-based video and audio applications. It also offers scalability to thousands of participants, DDoS mitigation protection, and IP and ASN-based access policies. The company aims to simplify the development process by providing developer-first APIs that abstract low-level infrastructure management, authentication, authorization, and participant permissions. Cloudflare is currently seeking partners for its closed beta WebRTC Components program.
