Always Online v.2
Blog post from Cloudflare
CloudFlare has released a new version of its "Always Online" feature, which promises to keep web pages online even if the server goes down. The original feature was based on using search engine crawler traffic to build a site's cache, but this approach had some limitations. In the new version, CloudFlare runs its own crawler that periodically visits customers' pages and updates the cache accordingly. The frequency of page refreshes depends on the customer's plan, with free users being crawled once every 9 days, Pro users once every 3 days, and Business and Enterprise users daily. The company plans to allow users to "pin" or "exclude" specific pages in future updates.
