Cline has been significantly optimized with the Claude 4 family of models, particularly recommending the Sonnet model for optimal performance. The most notable enhancement is the increased reliability of diff-based file editing, with the failure rate for complex edits reduced from 10% to 6% in production and success rates in challenging benchmarks rising from 64.4% to 84.3%. Additional improvements include resolving a race condition when switching between Plan and Act modes and enhancing search and replace parsing to address more edge cases.
