Cline 3.47.0 adds Background Edits and free MiniMax 2.1
Blog post from Cline
Background Edits is a newly introduced experimental feature that allows Cline to edit files in the background without interrupting the user's coding workflow by opening the diff view or moving the cursor, thus enabling continuous work while changes are tracked and approved by the user. Meanwhile, the updated MiniMax M2.1 model provides enhanced multilingual coding support across various programming languages and is temporarily available for free, with standard pricing resuming after the trial period. Additional improvements include Azure-based identity authentication, handling of expired token usage, correct preservation of file endings, auto-compaction for the Claude Code provider, and several updates to enhance user experience and tool integration. Users are encouraged to update their extensions to benefit from these changes.
