Summary

CircleCI has introduced beta integration with Cursor Origin, enabling teams to run scalable CI/CD pipelines for Origin-hosted repositories while retaining their existing CircleCI configurations. The integration is designed for agentic development, where AI coding agents generate more commits and require rapid, high-volume validation through capabilities such as parallel execution, flexible compute, test impact analysis, and cloud-hosted microVM sidecars for pre-push testing. CircleCI’s CLI and MCP tools also allow agents to inspect pipeline results, retrieve logs, and take CI actions directly within their workflows. Teams can connect an Origin repository through the Cursor Origin Apps tab, CircleCI application, or CLI, after which pushes and pull requests trigger pipelines and report statuses back to Origin pull requests. Available beta features include push and pull request triggers, API-triggered pipelines, and scheduled pipelines, with free accounts available for new CircleCI users.
