Turn Agent Traffic Into Revenue With CPN Managed Payments
Blog post from Circle
Circle Internet Financial describes CPN Managed Payments as a service designed to help eligible businesses monetize AI-agent traffic by accepting stablecoin payments for data, content, APIs, inference, and software access without building their own custody, liquidity, compliance, reconciliation, or payout infrastructure. As AI agents increasingly make small, frequent payments through protocols such as x402 and MPP, Circle argues that sellers need support receiving stablecoins, tracking transactions, screening payments, and converting proceeds into local-currency bank payouts. Launched in April 2026 for payment service providers, banks, and fintechs, the service lets businesses retain control of products, pricing, metering, and customer relationships while Circle manages payment acceptance, attribution, reporting, onchain records, and settlement. Circle illustrates the model with a market-data provider charging 0.002 USDC per API call, where high volumes of micropayments could generate revenue without requiring the provider to operate its own stablecoin systems.
