Introducing Our New Crosschain Forwarding Service, Now Integrated into CCTP
Blog post from Circle
Circle Internet Financial has introduced a new crosschain forwarding service integrated with its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) to streamline and enhance crosschain development. This service aims to reduce operational costs and risks for developers while improving user experience by enabling faster and more efficient crosschain transactions without requiring additional infrastructure or third-party trust. Initially supporting various blockchains such as Arbitrum, Avalanche, and Ethereum, the service simplifies the process by eliminating the need for developers to manage multiple contracts and gas requirements, allowing for one-click USDC deposits and automatic minting of USDC-backed stablecoins on destination chains. The forwarding service serves as a first-party, fully managed solution within Circle's interoperability products, offering benefits like faster chain expansion, reduced transfer times, lower operational costs, and improved user experience. Circle plans to expand this service across all CCTP-enabled routes and integrate it into their Bridge Kit and Circle Gateway by mid-2026, aiming to simplify crosschain app development further and enhance economic opportunity globally.
