Circle's USYC, a tokenized money market fund (TMMF), is now available on the BNB Chain, offering developers and traders access to a yield-bearing asset that integrates seamlessly with existing DeFi protocols. USYC can be used as programmable, yield-bearing collateral, providing near-instant settlements in USDC and addressing a gap for easy access to TMMFs within the DeFi space. The BNB Chain's high-performance and deep liquidity make it an ideal platform for USYC's utility in lending, borrowing, and trading activities. Developers can integrate USYC as a standard ERC-20 token, compatible with BNB Chain's BEP-20 standard, which allows for straightforward incorporation into existing DeFi ecosystems. USYC's yield accrues through price appreciation, eliminating the need for staking or claiming, and enables real-time on-chain redemption into USDC. However, access to USYC is restricted to non-U.S. persons under the Securities Act of 1933, with additional eligibility requirements, and is facilitated by Circle International Bermuda Limited as the token administrator.
