Circle Gateway: New Pre-Mint Address for EURC on Solana
Blog post from Circle
Circle announced that it has deployed a EURC pre-mint address on Solana, A6sLLUWebvoUUnQoCiB45ktetd34iamfD8kwTsBSReAb, to support Gateway’s new EURC minting functionality on the network. On non-EVM chains such as Solana, pre-minting allows Circle to hold tokens outside the circulating supply until they are authorized and transferred from the pre-mint address to users’ wallets, at which point circulation increases. Exchanges, websites, and developers monitoring EURC flows can continue using Circle’s public API without changes, while the full list of pre-mint addresses is available in Circle’s GitHub repository. Circle cautions users not to send EURC to pre-mint addresses because doing so will result in lost funds, as these addresses are reserved exclusively for Circle’s operations. The implementation follows an existing USDC pre-minting model on Solana and enables Gateway users to mint both dollar- and euro-denominated Circle stablecoins, subject to Gateway’s non-custodial design, eligibility restrictions, network conditions, and applicable developer compliance responsibilities.
