Over the weekend of April 8th and 9th, Chroma organized the world's first hackathon with the participation of around 100 people and 36 teams, which was deemed a success based on feedback. The event was designed to foster community involvement both in-person and remotely, drawing on past experiences to ensure its success. Unlike typical one-day hackathons, which often leave little time for participants to brainstorm and develop new projects, this event was extended to two days to allow for fresh ideas and experimentation, particularly since many attendees were unfamiliar with ChatGPT plugins. The first day was dedicated to understanding the technology, while the second focused on building projects, ensuring a balance between productivity and rest. Although some attendees expressed the desire for overnight access to the venue, organizers prioritized rest and encouraged participants to work elsewhere if needed, concluding the event with prizes and wrap-up by 7:15 pm.
