Checkr is celebrating Fair Chance Month, a nationwide movement that aims to provide opportunities for justice-impacted individuals. The company has been committed to fair chances year-round and focuses on gathering with community partners, volunteering, and networking to bring employees more proximate to the justice-impacted community. Checkr's platform, designed to empower fair hiring practices, features tools such as Assess, Candidate Stories, and Fair Chance Dashboard, which help reduce bias during the adjudication process, provide individualized assessments for candidates, and educate employers on their fair chance hiring efforts. Through these initiatives, over five million candidates have been unblocked from potential job opportunities, and over 150,000 candidates have leveraged the Candidate Stories tool to share more about their unique circumstances. Checkr is also exploring how design thinking is revolutionizing criminal justice reform across the entire system through upcoming panels and webinars.
