Checkly has announced that its visual regression and snapshot testing capabilities for Playwright-powered browser checks are now generally available. This feature allows users to verify the appearance of their user interface, detect issues with visual aspects, identify missing elements, and prevent problems caused by third-party tool elements. Customers who tested the beta version reported being happy with the results, highlighting its usefulness in alerting and proactively addressing design or breaking changes. The new feature can be integrated into CI/CD workflows using the Checkly CLI, allowing users to create golden images, upload them to the cloud, and use a monitoring-as-code workflow to automate testing. Visual regression testing is now available on all Team and Enterprise plans, while snapshot testing remains available on all plans.
