Monitoring as Code and Checkly Listed in the Gartner Hype Cycle for the Second Consecutive Year
Blog post from Checkly
Gartner has recognized Monitoring as Code (MaC) as an emerging practice for Site Reliability Engineering, marking the second consecutive year it's included in their Hype Cycles. MaC allows monitoring to be codified, version-controlled, and automated, reducing the risk of misconfigurations and inconsistencies. This approach enables developers to shift left and address the limitations of manual and legacy monitoring setups, resulting in a significant mean time to detect (MTTD) reduction. With Checkly's MaC updates, engineers can now gain deeper insights into frontend telemetry when checks fail, identifying root causes and resolving issues more quickly.
