Give agents exactly the access they need with Chalk MCP Gateway
Blog post from Chalk
Chalk MCP Gateway is designed to help organizations deploy AI agents that can securely access internal tools and data without exposing credentials or granting unrestricted permissions. Positioned between agents and MCP servers, it centrally registers approved services, manages credential exchanges, scopes tool access by agent, and evaluates every call using Rego policies based on users, permissions, backends, tools, and arguments. The gateway provides audit traces showing what tools agents called, the arguments used, and the policy decisions behind each action, while allowing teams to test policies before enforcing them. It supports OAuth, HTTP, and SSE-based MCP servers, can block or permit actions such as restricted SQL queries, and operates alongside Chalk’s Model Gateway, isolated Sandboxes, and Agent Evals to provide broader controls for production AI systems.
