The Chainlink Community Grant Program is designed to support development teams and researchers in enhancing the functionality and accessibility of the Chainlink Network. A recent grant has been awarded to Protofire, a development workshop specializing in decentralized protocols, to integrate Chainlink into the Polkadot-based smart contract platform Plasm and its Kusama implementation, Shiden. This integration will enable developers on these platforms to use Chainlink oracles for secure interaction with external data and off-chain computations, thereby expanding opportunities for DeFi, NFTs, gaming, insurance, and other industries. Protofire will ensure the integration's success by adapting Chainlink contracts for compatibility, testing and deploying components, providing automated testing, and creating developer documentation. Known for its expertise in blockchain projects, Protofire has previously received Chainlink grants for integrating oracles into xDai and Avalanche networks. The Plasm Network, a scalable smart contract platform on Polkadot, offers Ethereum compatibility and support for advanced solutions like OVM and ZK-Rollups. The grant program aims to empower teams and projects, accelerating the development of universally connected smart contracts and secure oracle networks, and invites interested developers and researchers to apply.
