Ethers, a widely-used JavaScript library essential for interacting with Ethereum and other EVM-based blockchains, has received a Chainlink Community Grant to expand its framework to additional EVM-based blockchains like OKexChain. This grant aims to enhance the development and deployment of Web 3.0 applications by enabling Ethers to support a more diverse collection of blockchains through ancillary packages. The expansion includes creating specific packages for new blockchains, developing detailed developer documentation, and providing ongoing maintenance to ensure functionality. The initiative will empower external blockchains to create their own ancillary packages, facilitating the extension of Ethers' capabilities across various blockchain networks. Richard Moore, the maintainer of Ethers, expressed gratitude for the grant, which will contribute to a richer ecosystem of hybrid smart contract applications. The Chainlink Community Grant Program continues to provide financial support to projects that drive the growth of hybrid smart contracts and the broader Chainlink ecosystem.
