D3LAB Receives Chainlink Grant to Enhance Sybil-Resistant Quadratic Voting System for DAOsRemoved
Blog post from Chainlink
Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) are revolutionizing Web3 community organization by leveraging blockchain and smart contracts, with treasury assets exceeding $8 billion and over 400,000 participants involved in governance proposals. D3LAB, winners of the Chainlink Fall Hackathon 2021, developed a Sybil-resistant quadratic voting system called Probabilistic Quadratic Voting (PQV) using Chainlink VRF to prevent Sybil attacks in DAOs. Following this success, D3LAB received a Chainlink Community Grant to further develop PQV and the Governor-C smart contract, aiming to enhance DAO governance and explore applications in other Web3 governance technologies like quadratic funding. This initiative addresses the limitations of traditional voting systems in DAOs and aims to improve fairness and effectiveness in proof-of-stake networks. The open-source nature of these advancements enables seamless integration into existing systems, fostering innovation and improving governance in the Web3 landscape.
