The Chainlink Community Grant Program aims to bolster the global developer community by funding the creation and maintenance of tools that facilitate the development of hybrid smart contracts and the use of Chainlink oracles. As part of this initiative, Banyan, a marketplace for trustless storage, has received a grant to develop a decentralized IPFS pinning service that employs Merkle proofs for off-chain storage verification, leveraging the Chainlink Network for computational efficiency. This service will enable cost-effective and verifiable data storage on decentralized networks like Filecoin, enhancing usability for Web3 developers. The project is led by Claudia Richoux and Maya Krasovsky, who bring a wealth of Web3 and finance experience, and aims to make decentralized storage more accessible and reliable, ultimately advancing the Web3 ecosystem by giving users greater control over their data.
