New in Connect AI: Understand Documents as Data with AI
Blog post from CData
CData Connect AI has enhanced its Google Drive connector to let AI assistants and agents read, analyze, and edit documents and spreadsheets directly through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The capability treats files as queryable data, avoiding the need for complex retrieval-augmented generation pipelines or manual downloads and separate processing. Users can ask AI to summarize contracts, compare proposals, extract information from reports or meeting notes, update document content, and combine Drive files with structured enterprise data from systems such as Salesforce in a single workflow. CData says the enhancement extends its MCP connectivity across more than 350 data sources and is available for Google Drive through a 14-day free trial.
