New in Connect AI: Connect Your Business Data to AI with Remote MCP
Blog post from CData
CData has introduced Remote MCP support in Connect AI, allowing Claude on the web and desktop to securely access and analyze live enterprise data from systems such as accounting, CRM, sales, marketing, Jira, and Salesforce platforms. The enhancement builds on CData MCP Servers by providing no-code, browser-based connectivity without requiring data staging, local installations, custom pipelines, or engineering support. Connect AI manages authentication, encryption, governance, monitoring, and access controls, enabling organizations to define what AI and individual users can view or do with connected data. Users can configure the integration by selecting Claude in Connect AI, enabling Remote MCP in Claude, and adding the generated MCP link, after which Claude can answer questions and generate insights from current business information. CData positions the feature as a way for finance, marketing, and sales teams to use AI as a real-time, context-aware data analyst while inviting user feedback and planning support for additional language models.
