Summary

Excel and Power BI Desktop now run natively on ARM64 Windows, making ARM64-compatible data connectors essential for organizations using these Microsoft analytics tools to access external services. Although AWS offers x86_64 Windows ODBC drivers for Athena and Redshift, it does not provide ARM64 versions, nor does it offer Windows ODBC drivers for S3 or DynamoDB. CData addresses this gap with ARM64-native ODBC drivers and Power BI and Excel connectors for Amazon Athena, Redshift, S3, and DynamoDB, enabling Power Query and Power BI to query these services on ARM64 devices. Its connectors provide SQL-based access to Athena queries, Redshift warehouses, S3 objects and files, and DynamoDB tables, including relational modeling and dynamic column detection for DynamoDB’s schema-less data.
