Sébastien Charrier, CEO of Bump.sh, reflects on the journey from an API failure incident to the creation of Bump, a platform designed to simplify the growing complexity of API ecosystems. Recently securing a 4 million euros seed round led by Galion.exe, Bpifrance, and other investors, Bump aims to empower developers by automating API lifecycle processes and unifying API documentation and portals across various technologies. The platform distinguishes itself with an engine that abstracts API structures, enabling a unified experience for REST and Event-driven APIs, and is now used by over 250 companies. As the landscape of web technologies continues to evolve, Bump plans to enhance its product into a comprehensive collaboration platform for API contracts, integrating tools to support the entire API lifecycle, including newer technologies like GraphQL and gRPC, as well as older ones like SOAP. The team, which is expanding beyond its initial six members, is committed to fostering a thriving workspace while advancing the product's capabilities. Charrier expresses gratitude to co-founder Anthony, the team, users, investors, and his partner for their support throughout the project.
