Welcoming Keith Smiley

Keith Smiley is joining BuildBuddy's engineering team, bringing extensive expertise in build systems and developer tooling, which will enhance both the company's offerings and the broader Bazel ecosystem. As a maintainer of Bazel's rules for Apple and Swift, Keith has made significant contributions with over 1,500 pull requests. His involvement extends beyond Bazel to contributions in LLVM and Swift, and he co-founded the Mobile Native Foundation with the Linux Foundation in 2021. Recognized with Google's Open Source Peer Bonus award in 2023, Keith previously worked at Modular as a Senior Staff Engineer and at Lyft as a Principal Engineer, where he led a team to migrate a large iOS codebase to Bazel. His addition to BuildBuddy is anticipated to advance the development of future developer tools.
