Two-thirds of senior security professionals believe it's harder to defend and monitor attack surface than it was just two years ago due to increased attacker sophistication and expansion. However, there is a silver lining in the form of increased spending on attack surface discovery and monitoring solutions, with 70% of organizations planning to increase their spending over the next 24 months. More mature organizations are handling these problems by diversifying their methods, building collaborative processes between security and IT teams, and deploying continuous monitoring. By implementing similar practices, such as providing internal training and integrating technologies with security operations tools, organizations can reduce the risk of attack surface vulnerabilities and better prepare for potential threats.
