The goal of Crowdsourced security is to enable customers to easily identify the highest value vulnerabilities by engaging with white hat hackers who have expertise in finding vulnerabilities. The Bugcrowd platform connects these experts with customer engagement, using past performance and behavior as a critical input for matching researchers with programs. This dynamic matching process allows for more accurate results. To prevent duplicate submissions from diluting point values, Bugcrowd will no longer award points for P3 and P4 submissions that are easily discoverable and duplicates. Instead, this change aims to incentivize higher-value submissions, ensure program owners receive valuable findings, and improve triage quality. By doing so, researchers of all skill levels can continue to level up their hunting skills.
