International Women’s Day Spotlight: The HackHer Network

International Women's Day, observed annually on March 8th, serves as a global platform to celebrate women's achievements, raise awareness about gender discrimination, and advocate for gender parity. This year's theme, #GiveToGain, highlights initiatives like Bugcrowd's HackHer Network, which aims to support women in the cybersecurity field—a sector where only 5% of hackers identify as women. The HackHer Network, launched in March 2025, provides a supportive online community for women, including cis, trans, and nonbinary individuals, at all career stages to connect and grow. Spanning 200 members across 30 countries, the network offers mentorship, technical challenges, and networking opportunities. Highlighted members like Katie Paxton Fear, Olufela Osideko, and Brigitte Lewis illustrate the community's impact, each sharing their journeys and the importance of mentorship in overcoming industry challenges.
