Bugcrowd Takeover: The Los Altos Hacks III
Blog post from Bugcrowd
We took a break from our regular jobs to attend the Los Altos Hacks III hackathon, where nearly 300 high school students gathered to work on various projects including face recognition security devices and litter collection apps. Bugcrowd's Principal Engineer gave a presentation on how to scrape Bugcrowd programs and build an Amazon Alexa skill called "security magic 8 ball." The team from Bug Browser won the security category with their chat skill for Alexa that provides latest security news and information about Bugcrowd programs, earning them Alexa Echo Spots. We met some cool kids excited about hacking on Bugcrowd's API and had a great time discussing best practices with next-generation security researchers.
