Introducing Agent 2 and the Bubble MCP
Blog post from Bubble
Bubble has launched Agent 2, an upgraded AI app-building assistant now available for all new and existing apps, alongside a beta Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration that lets experienced developers use external agents such as Claude Code or Codex to modify Bubble applications. Agent 2 improves prompt interpretation, building accuracy, functional reliability, and support for complex edits, while adding an in-editor preview tab that enables users to request changes, select specific app elements, and test apps as particular users. The Bubble MCP allows external AI tools to build features from tickets or designs, troubleshoot support issues, and import applications, though it currently cannot access logs, merge branches, or deploy apps. Bubble is also introducing AI credits for Agent-based building and image generation, with monthly allocations varying by plan and optional additional purchases; the visual editor, new app generation, and MCP usage do not consume credits. Existing apps as of October 6, 2026 will receive double their usual credit allowance through October, while the web-only Starter plan will rise to $39 per month, or $32 monthly when billed annually, beginning October 20, 2026.
