A survey of 793 Bubble users highlights a significant confidence and security gap between the two approaches, with 71.5% of builders expressing confidence in visual development for mission-critical applications compared to 32.5% for vibe coding. Visual development is favored for its predictability, control, and transparency, addressing security concerns prevalent in AI-generated code, which 72.3% of builders worry about due to its "AI black box" nature. Builders have achieved successful projects across various industries using visual development, attributing its success to its ability to empower non-technical users, reduce development costs, and eliminate the need for extensive engineering teams. While vibe coding excels in rapid prototyping and concept validation, visual development remains the preferred choice for deploying functional, secure, and scalable applications.
