We spoke with Teamy founder, Filipa Manita, about building an app that helps people organize meaningful company events. Filipa has worked in the travel tech industry and enjoys applying knowledge from her full-time positions to side projects. After using Bubble to build Teamy’s minimum viable product (MVP), Filipa and her team discovered that the no-code platform easily adapted to the needs of Teamy’s customers and partners. Teamy is a marketplace for team building activities and events, aiming to make organizing complex events simple and cost-effective by providing a tool for managers or HR specialists to fill out a form with event details, which are then matched with relevant activity proposals from partner organizations. Filipa discovered no-code tools like Bubble while researching options for side projects and chose to build Teamy on the platform due to its flexibility and ability to incorporate customer feedback. The app has seen traction, launching in Lisbon in 2019 and gaining about 150 partners and over 30 companies who have signed up and created events. Filipa's team plans to focus on solutions for remote teams and continue partner acquisition as they prepare to launch in different markets in 2021.
